The Word and Music Company pioneers, develops and produces theatre based on a new literary and musical discourse.

WAM Co. are pioneering a new style, form and process for the making of theatre involving:

-Cutting edge contemporary urban music and the euphoric elements of popular culture.
-Leading british playwrights and the best of current writing for the theatre.
-Performers and artists from the mainstream worlds of music, literature and art.
-Adaptations of existing works.

In this crossover we are brokering a series of new creative relationships that will break new ground in the crossover between music based performance and writer- led new work. This work will break away from the accepted integrations and forms of music and theatre, and will explore new modes of combining and reconfiguring the relationships between these genres.
